“At the end of the day, I can only answer for myself and I’ll be the first to admit I’m nothing but a worthless sinner, day in and day out. I’m as imperfect and flawed as they come. Thus, when the sun disappears behind the clouds and life suddenly turns into a haunted house, I cling to Jesus with every fiber of my being because He is unfailing, He is absolute, He is steadfast and His grace is deeper and wider than my imagination can even fathom. In Him and Him alone is where I’ve discovered a hope more bright and beautiful than words can possibly describe.” —Adam Young (via kaseyisnotw)

Happy Easter everyone!

Today in church my dad talked about how the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a historic event. The biggest testimony of that is what the disciples and others did after they saw Jesus. They celebrated and praised him. And more than that, they never once stopped testifying to what they had seen. These men and women had absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose. And they did lose it all. They were beaten, imprisoned, tortured, and even executed. They lost their friends, families, and they put everything on the line. Why would someone give their life for something that they secretly knew wasn’t true? The only answer is that the message of Jesus Christ rising from the dead is true. So celebrate what he has done for us and know that he loves us more than we can ever know.
